VM Rover is a multi-service voicemail client.
VM Rover simplifies the process of accessing voicemail by giving a familiar interface to your voicemail, and by having the voicemail ready at your fingertips as soon as you are ready to check. By probing your voicemail at set time intervals, VM Rover will download your voicemail for you and since VM Rover lives in your system tray you will always know how many total and new messages you have.
VM Rover was designed to be a voicemail platform, independent of service provider. Similar to multi-protocol Instant Messaging Programs such as 'Trillian' or 'Gaim', VM Rover will manage voicemail from multiple sources via a plugin framework. Ideally this will mean that you have one interface to multiple voicemail sources, such as your home, work and mobile mailboxes.
