If you login to My.SIPphone to manage your account and check your dialed, missed and received calls, you are probably familiar with the Address Book feature. It lets you find your friends, family and peers easily.
Many of you also know that with the address book, you can use our Click-to-Dial feature, which rings both your SIPphone and the person you are calling with a click of your mouse.
Today we have released an upgraded version of the Address Book. In your account information, you can add mobile or landline numbers to your profile. Now when people add you to their address book they will have multiple ways to contact you. You can also manually add numbers for your address book contacts, or even add contacts not listed in the white pages. So if members of your family are not SIPphone members, you can still have them listed in your My.SIPphone address book.
Perhaps the coolest new feature in My.SIPphone is the Quickdial window. You will find the link for Quickdial in the navigation bar on the left of My.SIPphone, under Address Book. Quickdial is a slender browser window that gives you easy access to all your frequently dialed numbers. So now when you want to call your colleague across the Atlantic or your buddy across town on his mobile, you just click on their number and both of your phones will ring instantly.
Quickdial works with both SIPphone numbers and PSTN numbers, so if you have SIP Minutes or just want to use your daily 5 Free Minutes, you can call any number in the world with the click of your mouse. Give it a try.
Also, for those of you who are in the market for a new Virtual Number, we've received a new allotment this week and expect more cities next week. Included in this weeks batch, Portland, Oregon.
Let us know your thoughts and feedback about this or any other SIP topic in our user forum.
