Join us in setting a world record for largest VOIP conference call!
We're stress testing a new conference call server that SIPphone is deploying. This service will allow any SIP user to make free conference calls quickly and easily. They simply select a ten digit number beginning with 222 such as 1-222-333-4444 then alert other callers to dial that number at a pre-set time. Presto! An instant and free conference call! We plan on offering this as a free service for all SIPphone users.
SIP conferencing is new technology so we don't know exactly what it's capacity is. We're asking SIPphone users and Lindows users to join us in making the largest SIP conference call ever. This will be an unmoderated call so anyone can talk at anytime and everyone else will hear it. We have no idea how the technology will perform, it could be great or it could crash and burn! With your help we're going to find out!
You'll want to call in on your SIP phone so it's a free call. If you don't have a SIP phone yet - order one now at SIPhardware.com, or you can call using a regular phone (long distance toll charges may apply).

Simultaneously, we're going to be running an AIM chat room. Open your IM client with connection to AIM, and select "Join a chat". Enter "sipchat" with exchange 4. You'll want to join because I'm not sure what happens with that many people on the phone. It could be chaos!! Here at least we can all communicate in that event.
